F.A.Q. WHO ATTENDS YOUR EVENTS? We have a variety of different events that serve different needs. Some are quite loud / electric / outwardly celebratory. Others are meditative / inward journeys. Perhaps surprisingly, they often appeal to the same people. Most of the attendees are open-hearted specimens of spirit-filled Love, eager to make a difference in each-other's lives and in the world at large, eager to co-create communities of Love, creativity and Self-expression. That is to say : beautiful people of all stripes, young and old. WHY DO YOU DO WHAT YOU DO? We - Preston & Emily - have followed a rather rare and unique path, one of co-creating with others the Possibility of manifesting Heaven on Earth. How? By healing one's pain-body while feeding one's Bliss-Body. That may sound absurd to you. We - and others - think otherwise. Our goal is to attract as many like-minded homo sapiens as we can, and help each other co-create the remarkable meta-physical "architectures" of a new world, awakening each heart and mind by fully realizing our inner Authentic Self, The Christed One, and evolving personally (and as a species) into... Homo Illuminatus! R. U. SIRIUS? Yes, yes we are. But we also have a sense of humor. : ) WHY SOBER? Because we are a co-creating "conscious" communities, alcohol and other mind-numbing / self-focusing intoxicants work against the vibe we are creating, intoxicants often being neither conscious, nor community. Our events raise consciousness, heighten awareness, and create real connections between people. All our events are alcohol / drug / smoke-free, with is one exception : Only in the safe confines of our (private) Synphoria event do we open up the possibility of people making a choice to take their natural high to a different place, as a matter of personal Self-expression. SHOULD I ATTEND? Our events are not for everybody, so use your discernment. We'd say Yes... IF you come as a "Yes" not a no. IF you are heart-forward, not heart-hidden. IF you appreciate and support loving, open community. IF you arrive with a wide-awake conscousness, not a dulled one. IF you like people, and honor their individuality and their unique God-given gifts. IF you resonate with the idea of growing and healing, Yes. If NOT, then no. You know if this speaks to you or not. KIDS? Sure, kids can attend some of our events. Eight:18 is the clear first choice - kids have a blast at Unity (and they get in free). Come early (8:18pm), no need to hire a babysitter. Let your kid play with others on the dance floor, or get their face painted, or dance with you. Fun! Some kids also do OK at the Synthesis meditation, but it's usually too boring for them. Other events we do are clearly for adult mentalities. If you are not sure if an event is kid-friendly, ask either of us : Emily or Preston. WHY PRIVATE? Some of our events are held in our home, called The Synphorium. We are protective of the energy of our events, AND we are protective of the energy of our home. Sometimes we don't know someone well enough to invite them in, and sometimes we don't think someone is a good fit. We could be wrong, of course, but we must use discernment. SEXUALITY? Sexuality has its place - that place is not at our events. We ask your inner child to come out and play. Please keep hugs and kisses in the realm of innocense. Thanks. POLITICS? Politics has its place - that place is not at our events. We ask you to adopt the point-of-view "I am another you", focusing on our human similarities, leading by example, and pulling us together in Love. Thanks. |
WHY TALK ABOUT SPIRITUALITY? Some people do not relate to our mission, which is to awaken each available person as a conscious and powerful vehicle for The Divine. If talk of spirituality bothers you, it is likely you should not attend our events until our words and actions enhance - rather than detract from - your experience. We understand that our events are not for everybody. But they work for us, and they ARE our events, and therefore have our unique flavor. We have dedicated our lives to growing Spirit's Light, through Creative Love, Healing and Compassion, and we resonate best with those who understand (and relate to, and support) our mission. WHAT'S UP WITH THE DONATION? At all of our events we ask for a suggested donation. If you do not have the money, you will likely not be turned away. But we do tend to re-invite those who actually support us and our events, of course. We are following our bliss, doing what is ours to do, and we put almost all our energies (and often a lot of money) into creating and producing sacred occasions. We intend to continue producing them, growing and spreading these communities of Love. It takes a green energy exchange to do so. Thank you for your support. OUR PRAYER "Recognizing the divinity of all creation, I honor the sacred within each person. There is much in life that is hallowed and treasured. Even as I take part in the practice of this sacred rite of celebration, I remember what is truly sacred: the presence of God, my inner divine nature, and the divine nature of all others surrounding me, joining me. All of us are expressions of God's presence - as are the billions of people not joining us tonight. Recognizing the divinity of all creation, I honor the sacred nature of the cultural practices that help people bond in Spirit.
