GIVE PEACE A DANCE @ MKP, (public)
is an 18 & over conscious dance party in a small 9-section ritual-infused space we found a mile W of the loop in an industrial section of Chicago. It's called THE MANKIND PROJECT , and we fell in love with its possibilities:
9pm start - 1am end, dancing in the large room, plus bodywork, projections, outdoor drum circle, outdoor fire-pit/spinning(!), chill-out room, intuitives, vendors, etc.. AC, clean restrooms, street (& lot) parking, alcohol/smoke free. Please join us for GIVE PEACE A DANCE @ 1900 W FULTON!
This letter from Rev Paula, a healer at GPaD:
Here's what I so loved about my experience at GPD:
For starters - the parking was so easy and wonderful. That's important!
I found the ManKind Project space completely amazing - with all the beautiful feather boas, projected images on the walls, exquisite music - and our wonderful community. I have been on a part of my path that involves digging into some places that I've been hiding from, but I have also been recapturing parts of myself in the process. A big revelation is that a lot of my "fatigue" is not about lack of energy, but "congestion" of energy. So I came to the gathering ready to really express. And the outside drum circle, with the huge burning firepit and the sinuous, sensuous beat and groove, was just the place for me to warm up. I felt my Shakti energy awaken, and my body just started moving on its own. I just observed & allowed. I could feel a sense of magical joy spreading through and around me/us. I connected with "family" - we shared deep & appreciative hugs. I felt connecte, rooted, ALIVE.
Then - the wonderful room/space you provided me was fabulous - THANKS. I brought many wonderful tools to create a magical space physically - and I also invoked a very strong Light and angelic presence in the room. People were very drawn to it & I had fun watching the process. They'd walk by, pause, look in, then walk in and take it all in. This was early on in the evening when I was outside the room checking the overall vibe of everyone. Not having anyone in the room at first gave people a sense of safety to go in and explore.
I absolutely love bringing people into a sacred room and holding the space for whatever Spirit wishes to bring to them. I especially enjoy it when people are completely new to all of this, and I don't know them. It gives me a chance to really bond with more wonderful people, and to open their hearts & minds to new possibilities.
Spirit touches people deeply - there is a beautiful intimacy that occurs in a sacred space. I feel like a midwife, holding space for whatever is being birthed through Spirit for them on their path. And I have been really getting to know the community more intimately through this wonderful ritual work. I especially enjoy watching people open up, relax, and let Spirit in. Their eyes become soft, they allow themselves to trust and take in the Light. As the time passed, I became more blissful, peaceful and energized, which enhanced the work Spirit could do through me. I would do a few sessions, then dance a bit and mingle, then find some more souls wanting a karma cleansing & blessing and bring them to the space. It was a beautiful, synchronous unfolding of events & energy and everything flowed just beautifully. By the ed of the evening, I was completely open, joyful and blissed. I felt completely filled on all levels - from the music, and dancing, the love from the community, the beauty of the environment you guys created, and from my work in the karma clearing space.
One young man who had a very intense baptism in Spirit the last time I did the karma clearing at Synphoria came back and shared all the amazing transformation that had occurred in his life since then. And another wonderful inflow of Holy Spirit occurred for him again. It was so remarkable to have the chance to hear his story and to realize that I can be a vehicle for Spirit to do that kind of work. It really confirmed that this IS, TRULY, my calling.
Thank you both again for all that you do, and for believing in me. I so appreciate having the space at GPAD to do this wonderful work.
It gives me joy beyond anything I've ever experienced.
Infinite Love & Gratitude, Paula
